| Dear , Fighting Back Against E15
Decades ago, a destructive federal mandate was quietly added to the U.S. Code in the Energy Policy Act of 2005. That federal mandate was the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS), which requires that refineries blend billions of gallons of ethanol into oil every year in order to keep their licenses. This mandate steadily increases the cost of fuel, acts as a stealth gas tax, forces our farmers to divert corn from our dinner tables to our gas tanks, and functionally serves as a government-required wealth transfer to the ethanol lobby.
As the ethanol lobby pushes for 15% ethanol blended fuel (E15) to be sold year-round, energy freedom advocates and I are dedicated to preventing this hidden gas tax from advancing. As President Trump has repeatedly said, an energy-independent nation is a strong nation. Congress must be devoted to moving policies that wind down antiquated mandates, bolster our domestic energy capability, and advance energy freedom.

In truth, "E15," as it is known, is the ethanol lobby's Trojan horse to expand one of the most costly and destructive federal mandates in U.S. history: the Renewable Fuel Standard.
Without reforms to the underlying rule, the E15 expansion entrenches a hidden gas tax, drives up food and fuel prices, slashes vehicle efficiency, threatens refining jobs, and undermines American energy dominance. Republicans who champion free markets and affordable energy must oppose it."

Ending Waste, Fraud, and Abuse in the U Visa and Medicare Programs
Following my introduction of H.R. 8628, the End U Visa Abuse Act, to fully repeal the U Visa because of the rampant levels of fraud in the program, I was disheartened, but not surprised, to see a similar story playing out in Ohio with aliens fraudulently abusing Medicare. Across this country and siphoned from nearly every government program, we are seeing unprecedented levels of fraud being committed by both legal and illegal aliens, stealing money straight from American taxpayers. From the rampant fraud in Minnesota committed by Somalians, to the billions stolen in hospice fraud in California and New York, to the fraud in our immigration system like the U Visa, and finally this latest news of widespread Medicare fraud in Ohio, we must end this theft from American taxpayers once and for all. I thank Vice President Vance for his work to root-out this fraud across the country and federal government and will continue to introduce legislation to bolster these efforts.

A citizen in Austin, Texas was accused of a crime he did not commit. The person accusing him was an illegal alien using that false accusation to get a U Visa and stay in the country! A U Visa is a class of visa where claiming to be a crime victim is your backdoor into staying long-term. That is a direct incentive to falsely accuse Americans! We do not need this class of visas, and I've introduced legislation to get rid of it."

On the first Thursday of every May, Christians across our great Nation gather to pray during the National Day of Prayer. This year, outside the Kerr County Courthouse, Team Roy joined dozens of local officials, pastors, community leaders, and citizens in prayers for our community.
